Doula. Nurse. Educator. Military Spouse. Mom of Two.
I have always had the calling to work with others. It's why I became a nurse! But I wanted more and I wanted to be able to spend more time with the people I was caring for. After much discernment and prayer, the Lord brought me to the wonderful world of being a doula!
Hi, I'm Lauren!
I am so happy that you interested in working together during this sacred and precious time of your life. Although I did not realize it at the time, but my journey to becoming a doula began with the births of my two children. Having two completely different birthing experiences led me to where I am today. Having the loving, emotional, and physical support of a doula for my second birth made all the difference in the world. It is this amazing support that ignited a passion for wanting to help others. After graduating in 2015 from Jacksonville University with my BSN, I began my nursing career as a cardiac nurse in a trauma one hospital. My passion for women’s health never went away, but due to my husband’s military career and crazy flight schedule, I was never able to work in labor and delivery. In 2019 I began working from home as a nurse, in order to make myself more available to my family. In 2020 I graduated from Jacksonville University with my Masters in Nursing and became a Nurse Adjunct Professor. During this time I felt the calling to pursue my doula career.
"Do not accept anything as the truth if it lacks love. And do not accept anything as love which lacks truth.
These life changes is what has allowed me to fulfill my passion of empowering women during their journey into motherhood. My Catholic faith is the foundation of my business and it is my trust in God that has carried me to this point in my life. I have so many wonderful life experiences and I just simply smile when I think of how blessed I am to work with such amazing clients. With over 16 years experience as a military spouse, I understand how it feels to not have family around to support you during this time. I also, understand that sometimes the support you may be receiving is not exactly positive. As a doula I will support, I will educate, I will equip and empower you to make the decisions that are best for you and baby.
